Welcome to Tjørhomfjellet in Sirdal, the ski resort for everybody!

Tjørhomfjellet is situated 605-924 above sea level. The alpine season lasts from December to the end of April. We can offer excellent facilities for the whole family, also for those of you who do not go skiing.

”Huldreheimen” is the name of our fantastic family area in Tjørhomfjellet. Here you will find a platter seat lift  (350 m)a telecorde rope tow   (100 m),a  barbeque area and a lot more.

In the Sami tent (lavvo)  we offer child care during certain weekends and holidays. ( Nb ! this needs to be reserved in advance)

The Trollexpress chair- lift brings you up 1420 m above sea level in five minutes. We have 25 downhill runs- beginner to expert.

 Tjørhomfjellet also offers fantastic possibilities for off-piste skiing. We also have a small snow-park.

A new  ski lift now connects Ålsheia and Tjørhomfjellet  and makes it possible to ski between the two resorts. This  makes Sirdal fjellheiser the largest  ski resort in the southwest of Norway.

The lift which connects the two resorts is a platter seat lift (200 m)   and can transport 900 persons per  hour .  

You can rent ski in Huldreheimen  (family area) where there also is a kiosk for those of you who are hungry.

Off-piste

Tjørhomfjellet offers fantastic possibilities for off-piste skiing outside prepared slopes. It is important to realize that off-piste skiing outside prepared slopes is at your own risk. We therefore recommend that you do not go off-piste skiing on your own. Also remember that off-pist skiing acquires a certain level of skills. If you are not sure where to ski, please contact our ski-patrol. In some areas there might be danger of avalanges.

Sledging hill

Good old fashioned fun for everybody!

Welcome to a great experience in the sledging- hill in Huldreheimen.

Did you forget your toboggan? Don`t worry, just contact the ski rental in Hulderheimen. They`ve got toboggans and sledging-mats for rent.

In need of a change?

Bring your thermos, seating pad and equip yourself on the Beinesvannet. Experience the joy of fishing in the beautiful, quiet surroundings of nature.

Didn`t catch anything? Don`t worry. We`ve got warm meals and beverage in the warm up cabin.

About Sirdal ski & snowboard school.

Sirdal ski & snowboard school will help you set up a tailor- made arrangement for those of you who wish to learn skiing and snowboarding.

The ski school offers classes on slalom , snowboarding, telemark skiing and cross country skiing. The classes will be adapted to your level of skills. You may choose whether you want private instructions or group-lessons.

The ski-instructors are all certified by “ Den norske skiskole” og “Norges snowboard Forbund”

Ski bus and local bus

 

Tjørhomfjellet and Ålsheia are now united and this means that you can take the bus to either one of the resorts and go skiing in both. We have two regular services. One from Stavanger and one from Hommersåk. The price for each trip is 370 kr.

Ski rental 2007/2008

The ski rental is located in Huldreheimen- the family area. We offer a large choice of equipment for everyone. Opening hours are Mondays, Tuesdays , Thursdays ,Saturdays and Sundays from 09.30 to 16.30.
